Checked out this place while in Reno and it was good. Place is nice inside, I will say it was definitely a little warm in there, but it was also a warm summer day. I had their version of a chicken pot pie, it was good, but definitely not what I was expecting. A lot of the group got burgers and they all enjoyed them. Food was overall good, they had a wide variety of drinks, and location of this place was good. It was in walking distance of a lot of different bars so it was nice to walk to grab drinks after dinner.
Excellent food, amazing service and cozy atmosphere. Highly recommend trying all of these wonderful dishes. The duck melt would be much better with a sauce but otherwise it was delicious.
I had the chance to check out Old Granite Street Eatery, and it was a pleasant experience overall . The atmosphere is charming, with a vintage vibe that makes you feel like you're stepping back in time. So nice!. From the rustic decor to the quirky touch of serving water in old alcohol bottles, the ambiance really adds to the experience. Like that! As for the food, I went with the Black & Blue Burger, which was delicious and packed with flavor. The fries were crispy perfection and easily a highlight of the meal. My group also shared the bacon chips, and those were fantastic definitely a must try! Service was friendly, though the restaurant was fairly busy, so the wait was a little longer than expected. But, I wouldn't say the prices are exactly budget-friendly, but the quality of the food and overall experience made it worth. I will definitely be back, maybe to try that Spicy Burger next time. If you're in Reno, Old Granite Street Eatery is worth a visit. Believe me..
I really enjoyed eating here and would go back. The decor inside was really cool, it was a small place but didn't feel too stuffy. They have a lot of good food options that are decently priced. I thought it was going to be more experience than it actually was since it gave me the vibe of a trendy spot downtown, but it was about $13 for my meal. Granted I didn't get any drinks or appetizers. They drink menu was really expensive though, however, they do have a happy hour. The staff were really nice and the wait time was not long at all. I got the Italian sandwich with fries and it was amazing! The sandwich was so big, so I had leftovers, and the fries were really good and crispy. Parking is a little difficult since it is close to the heart of downtown Reno. We got lucky and parked across the street where the government workers park since it was the time a day where it is free to park there. You can also park on the street and pay for a meter.
Food was great. The french fries were so crispy on the outside yet pillowy soft inside. Sandwiches were delicious. I took a star out because we specifically asked what were the "sliders for the day" and the server replied she'll get back with us after checking with the kitchen. The server came back and let us know what the sliders are for the day. Everyone put their order in to include the "special sliders". When all the orders were served, the server said they actually do not have the server and the kitchen made a mistake. You would think that they would catch that before everyone's orders were served. So everyone else was eating but the person who ordered sliders as he had to wait for a new order. Other than that, all was good. Lots of parking on the weekends as there's an adjacent lot open with lots of parking spaces.
Love the decor and ambiance. Especially love that they have good tequila, Cazcanes. We ordered the salmon with a coconut sauce and the fish and chips. Fish and chips were super tasty and a huge portion. The salmon was good, but I did have to send it back as it was undercooked. The Caesar salads they served with it were okay, nothing special, kinda boring, the tiny piece of bread served with it was rock hard. Also had to ask for ice for our water as it was 94 degrees out, and they don't seem to have AC. The margarita, though, was delicious. Wish they had more cocktail ideas with tequila.
Had a great experience at Granite Street with a last minute change of plans for my friend's birthday dinner. Carlos and his staff were able to accommodate my party of 7 (5 adults and 2 kids) on a Tuesday night. Started with drinks and we each enjoyed our cocktails from the creamsicle, a special cocktail for the birthday boy, Granite Bloody and their old fashioned. Wish I had more pictures but all tasted amazing to start off. All our meals from Beer Cheese Burger, Breakfast Burger, NaaN Chicken Sandwich and steak were all finished before a picture was even taken but we were all satisfied beyond our expectations. Our server was very attentive and even got to sneak a birthday deep fried cheesecake at the end timed perfectly before our check arrived. The restaurant catered to our robust group since we were just having a lively conversation and laughing throughout the night. Thank you for the experience and will always recommend this spot to friends and family
The food was great! Went there on a Thursday for lunch with some coworkers, we were seated immediately. The decor is lovely, has an old charm to it. There was only one waiter who was seating people, grabbing food, and closing out tabs. He was very busy, so our food took a bit longer, but very understandably so. I ordered the West Coast Wrap, it was good and the fries were fantastic. The hot sauce I asked for was also super good. I would definitely come back to try their other food options for lunch.
My wife and I have had our eyes on this restaurant for a while and we've recently (finally) paid them a visit to try a couple of their burgers. I ordered the breakfast burger and she ordered the blue cheese and bbq burger. As an appetizer, we of course got the bacon chips. To finish off the meal, we ordered a slice of their Italian Lemon Cream Cake. The burgers were good. They didn't blow our minds but they did the job. It appeared to me that the patties were NOT fresh, hand rolled. Which makes me question their high prices. The bacon chips were stupid good. As was the cake. It was the perfect finish to a fairly heavy meal. Our server was good too. He was attentive without being overbearing and was friendly to boot. I would definitely come back. We enjoyed our experience.
